Monica Lehmann Update 2024

Monica Lehmann 10-2024

We thank God for another year that the Lord in His grace has allowed us to complete.
At the beginning of December we were able to go with some women from the local church to visit a nursing home and bring Bibles and some snacks for the 250 elderly people. God willing next year we will continue visiting them.

That same week, on Wednesday morning, we went with a group of brothers to visit the Bucaramanga prison. I had the privilege of going in and taking some toiletries, Bibles, a devotional called Daily Bread, calendars, pens, and diaries to 80 students who are studying Fuente de Luz courses. We had a good time with them and shared some snacks. I had the opportunity to visit a nephew who has been imprisoned there for several years, Wilfer Sanmiguel. He didn’t know I was there and didn’t want to come out, but then I was able to see him, and he came out to join us. They lent us a room to do the activity there.

We appreciate that you continue to pray for Paulina and her children. The mourning of Álvaro’s death has been very hard for the family, especially the children. Paulina is in the process of accepting the loss of her husband. We pray that she can continue to be firm in the Lord and continue to serve with the translations of the Bible. Maria Isabel has been very attentive to the family and has been a great blessing to them during this time. Karen, her youngest daughter, graduated from high school on December 13. We collaborated with Maria Isabel so that they could celebrate that day in a special way as a family.

As far as my own health, at the end of November, I was feeling very poorly for a few days. I had to go to the emergency room and they ordered some tests because I had an inflamed colon and liver, and they also ordered a more detailed examination of my neck and throat. They have also ordered an endoscopy and other tests because a benign tumor appeared, and something else that they are going to study. I appreciate your prayers, and I will be telling you how the process is going.

God willing, we will spend Christmas with the family here at home. There are some events in the different local assemblies. We will be handing out devotionals, cakes, and calendars to some neighbors and brothers from the assemblies. Alberto and Daniela and their children will be accompanying us. I ask for your prayers for my niece Paola and her husband Fabian, for their home life and marriage.

My mother has been in good health and my brother Frank. Great news is that Agustina, Jonathan’s wife, who is in Uruguay, was baptized on December 15th. We are very happy about this news! May God continue to strengthen them in the faith. We are praying that they can come in March so that we can meet Agustina and baby Emily.

We thank each and every one of you for your prayers and offerings for the work here. Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year in Christ our Savior.

A big hug from a distance to you, beloved brothers and sisters.
